Our Locations
For more than 20 years, Bird on the Hand has introduced thousands of people to the unforgettable experience of flying birds of prey. From our original base near Market Harborough in Leicestershire, we’ve built a reputation for small-group, high-quality falconry encounters that bring people closer to nature in an authentic, caring way.
Our Market Harborough site has become so popular that, after reaching capacity, we wanted to make the same exceptional experience available to people further afield. That’s why we’ve expanded to a second venue at Alders Farm, near Milton Keynes, ideally located for guests from London, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and the Home Counties.
Whether you visit us in Market Harborough or Milton Keynes, you’ll find the same Bird on the Hand values:
-
Intimate, hands-on sessions with hawks, owls, falcons and eagles
-
Expert, friendly falconers who share their knowledge and passion
-
Beautiful countryside settings with plenty of time to relax and connect with nature

Market Harborough, Bird on the Hand’s Original Home
Our original base in Leicestershire, Bird on the Hand at Market Harborough, has been delighting visitors for over two decades. Tucked into peaceful countryside, it’s where our story began — and where we’ve refined our unique style of relaxed, personal falconry experiences.

Milton Keynes – Alders Farm Falconry Experience
Our newer location at Alders Farm brings Bird on the Hand closer to London and the South East. Set beside tranquil lakes just south of Milton Keynes, it offers the same high-quality encounters in a stunning outdoor setting. It’s the perfect option for those who can’t easily reach Market Harborough but still want an authentic, small-scale falconry experience.
